Three decades later, the ears are still ringing. Born in Joburg and bonded by brotherhood, this dynamic quartet; the self-styled WONDERbrothers, have built a legacy on chemistry that crackles both on and off stage. It’s that rare alchemy that turns a tight rock band into something more dangerous: a live-wire organism. Rock, funk, punk, a flash of afro-dance; WONDERboom never asked permission to mix it up. They simply owned it, night after night, city after city, continent after continent. Frontman Cito says it best: “Thirty years of WONDERboom and I'm done counting. Time has been wild. It seems to move fast and not care. But somehow, we’re still here, still shaking ourasses, still making songs that mean something to us. None of this matters, though, without new music, without pushing this roller-coaster forward.
