The Vessel and the Gaze is SEFARA’s inaugural ceramic exhibition, presented as part of Design Week South Africa 2026 . Across seven sculptural ceramic works, the exhibition explores the relationship between identity, perception and the ways we encounter ourselves and others. Through form, surface and material, the series invites reflection on the relationship between the vessel, the viewer and the act of seeing.
