WE'RE LAUNCHING: The Couch Society, hosted by NRC CG After months of planning, we're incredibly proud to announce the launch of The Couch Society - NRC CG's first ever beginner running community — and registration opens today. WHAT IT IS: A 10-week, structured, supported running programme that takes you from your first running steps to completing your first 10km race. You will be coached, paced, educated, and cheered every single step of the way. WHO IT'S FOR: Complete beginners who want to start running. People who used to run and stopped. Winter Walkers graduates ready for the next step. Anyone who has ever thought "running clubs aren't for people like me" — because they are. WHAT R480 INCLUDES: 10 weeks of guided training (3 sessions per week) An experienced volunteer Run Buddy at every session Weekly educational content: gear, nutrition, technique, race prep Your PPS Alberton 10km Graduation Race entry (8 November) Your ASA temporary licence A custom Couch Society running shirt GRADUATION: PPS Alberton 10km Race — Sunday 8 November 2026. The entire NRC CG club will be there to cheer you home. Registration is open now.
