Sankayi Jazz Series welcomes Paras “Sibalukhulu” Dlamini, an award-winning South African jazz vocalist, composer, songwriter and cultural practitioner whose work sits at the intersection of indigenous African spirituality, storytelling and contemporary jazz. Born Siphamandla Dlamini and raised between KwaMashu and Ulundi in KwaZulu-Natal, Paras’s musical journey began in the church, where he developed his earliest understanding of rhythm and performance through playing drums. Singing predominantly in isiZulu, he draws on African indigenous knowledge systems, oral traditions, ancestral consciousness, and modern jazz innovation. His breakthrough album, Ingoma Busuku, produced by Nduduzo Makhathini, brings together African spirituality and contemporary jazz expression and has received critical acclaim. Doors: 18:00 | Music: 20:00 We encourage guests to arrive early, get comfortable and enjoy dinner and drinks before the performance. This gives our team time to look after you and helps keep service during the music to a minimum, allowing everyone to enjoy the performance without interruption. Your seat is selected and reserved when you book, so you can arrive knowing your place is waiting for you. Sankayi Jazz Series Curated by Alex Productions
