Prepare for an unforgettable night of stand-up comedy as one of South Africa's brightest rising stars brings her celebrated debut hour back to the stage for a limited run! In A Tall Story, audience favourite Khanyisile Ngwenya delivers a masterclass in observational humour, sharp-witted banter, and fearless storytelling. The show offers an intimate, highly entertaining look into her unique world, turning life's unexpected hurdles, big dreams, and everyday absurdity into pure comedy gold. Expect high-energy punchlines, relentless honesty, and a bold perspective that has captivated sold-out crowds and industry icons alike. Born, bred, and buttered in Soweto, Khanyisile Ngwenya may be physically brittle due to Osteogenesis Imperfecta, but her spirit, and her razor-sharp comedic timing, is entirely unbreakable. Since stepping onto the stand-up stage in December 2020, her trajectory has been nothing short of meteoric. After placing as runner-up at the 2024 Jive Funny Championship and performing at The Baxter Theatre, Khanyisile made history in 2025 as the first ever recipient of the Newcomer Award (The Eb Award) at the Savanna Comics' Choice Comedy Awards. She capitalised on that momentum in November 2025 with the successful debut of her first solo show, A Tall Story. By 2026, she returned to the Comics' Choice stage to perform alongside icon Tumi Morake and shared lineups with industry heavyweights like The Goliaths, Riaad Moosa, and Dillan Oliphant. She may not have become the medical doctor she once envisioned, but because laughter remains the best medicine, Khanyisile is back to relieve your aches, one haha at a time, in the triumphant second run of A Tall Story.
