Designed to gently calm the nervous system, quiet the mind, and wash away fatigue, it is an evening dedicated to inner wellbeing and deeply felt tranquillity through a combination of unique instrumentation and voice. THE EXPERIENCE The Artists: The event brings together master sound performers alongside exceptional young vocalists from Khayelitsha’s Ikhono Youth Choir, whose voices depart from the traditional choral experience. Acoustic Instruments: A continuous, breathtaking 360-degree sound field is created completely live using massive gongs, Tibetan & crystal singing bowls, didgeridoos, hand drums, flutes, stringed Monolinas, overtone harmonies and more, that respond to the grand architecture of the hall. Theatre Seating & Sound: Experienced entirely from the comfort of the theatre’s seating. No yoga mats or meditation experience required—simply sit back, close your eyes, and let the acoustic waves surround you. A sound system has been designed to fully immerse you in the experience from anywhere in the theatre. THE ENSEMBLE Creator/Conductor/Sound Performer: Chris Roland Featured Sound Performers: Antoinette Bishop, Janet Farquharson, Paola Masullo, Sadek Ezzideen, and Ylinel Trujillo.
