Are you brave enough to finally give it a go? ?? Ground Culture is launching our very first Open Mic Night a space for new voices, fresh material and anyone who has been thinking, “Maybe I should try comedy…” Our Open Mic Night is all about creating a relaxed, supportive space for aspiring comedians to take the stage, test out new material and build their confidence in front of a live audience. This week is hosted by Chuma Bentele. Date: Thursday, 17 September 2026 Location: Ground Culture Cafe, 170 Lower Main Road, Observatory Time: Show starts at 8pm, but join us from 6:30pm for dinner and drinks before the show. Price: R80 a ticket Expect new jokes, unexpected moments, a few nerves, plenty of laughs and a room full of people rooting for everyone brave enough to step up to the mic. Come hungry too, we’ll have our full food and drinks menu available throughout the evening. Think burgers, drinks and comedy. ???? At busy events, smaller or odd-numbered groups may be paired with other guests to make the most of our space. We promise the vibes will be worth it.
