First Drafts is a curated storytelling experience where artists, writers, poets, musicians, members of the public and thinkers share work in its most honest form. It is a space that celebrates vulnerability, creativity, and conversation by giving people permission to present ideas that are still becoming. Unlike traditional open mics, every edition is intentionally curated to create a cohesive experience that leaves audiences inspired, challenged, and connected. The name First Drafts comes from the belief that: Every masterpiece started as a first draft. Every person is a work in progress. Stories do not have to be finished to be worth telling. It embraces imperfection as the birthplace of excellence. The Experience First Drafts isn't simply a sequence of performances. It is designed like a live narrative. Each event includes: Curated poetry Storytelling Spoken word Live music Conversations with featured guests Audience participation where appropriate Beautiful visual branding and intentional atmosphere Rather than asking "Who's performing?", the audience asks, "What's the story tonight?"
