Their legendary Homegrown events built the modern foundation of our local dnb scene, setting a production standard that took the sound to new international heights, igniting thousands of ravers across dance floors all over the world. Based in Prague, this event see’s Counterstrike return with their signature sound for a limited experience. This tour is powered by the inspiration of redHat, who always dreamed to bring Counterstrike back to Cape Town after touring here regularly and doing events with TehSynes, who had a shared vision. The timing of this event is found placed at the beginning of what looks to be the biggest year in Cape Town Drum n Bass, this event aims to show the more extreme side of the genre, this is the forefront of technology, sound, art and expression. redHat, first gen South African American, is the immense force behind the tour, someone who lives and breathes touring from rigging stages to on the stage. Their emotional Breakcore / Glitch style has brought them across Europe, Asia, Africa and America, everywhere from Underground raves in tunnels and mountains or clubs and coastal fishing harbours in South Africa. redHat is one half of Organized Damage with Xervious. Dutch hardcore artist To-Wa has been carving out his own unmistakable sound within the international hardcore underground for 15+ years. Blending industrial hardcore, UK hardcore, early rave influences and hip-hop-inspired grooves, his sets are known for their raw energy, deep musicality and relentless dancefloor momentum. To-Wa consistently delivers performances that balance technical precision with an unmistakable sense of funk and movement. In 2022, To-Wa founded Sealand Recordings, a label dedicated to authentic underground hardcore music. With an ever-growing international touring schedule, an expanding catalogue of releases and a clear artistic identity, To-Wa continues to establish himself. Whether behind the decks, in the studio or through Sealand Recordings, his mission remains unchanged: to push hardcore forward while honouring its rich history and creating new opportunities for the scene worldwide. Xervious is the main music project of Kemdi, cofounder of Organized Damage, hailing from Philadelphia (USA). He started the project back in 2005, inspired by the experiences he had exploring the sounds of Hardcore, IDM and breakcore circa 2003-2005. It is a catch-all alias for his interests within the electronic music space which encompasses a wide range of musical expression, primarily focusing on sonic demonstrations of ethereal intensity. The objective of the project is to describe scenes and experiences that don’t exist within our natural world as well as the concept of “in extremis”. The primary media for such sounds generated by this project generally lie within the framework of Hardcore Techno and IDM but influences from other genres such as breakcore, electro, industrial, drum and bass, dubstep, techno, ambient, post rock and more filter their way into the sonic collage. TehSynes, founder of Tempo DNB in 2012, has been shaping his sound in Drum n Bass since 2001 under various alias. TehSynes project evolved out of the need to not limit ones self to one style, as everything is relative in some way and in the right context, anything is possible. Pushing various shades of Drum n Bass from deeper liquid and jungle to minimal funk or harder tech DnB sounds. Tempo is a place where genre boundaries blur between the rhythms and the sounds of the people. Look out for Tempo DNB and Tempo BASS events this summer. B-Wise: Immersing himself in all things Jungle Drum 'n Bass from 2003 - 2007, he moved from dance floor to decks, bringing his versatile selections to Homegrown, Pressure, ICFTJ, Ramfest, and many more across the country, alongside local and international greats. Deep/Soulful, to Dancefloor, to heavy-hitters, he loves to represent the full-spectrum. DJ Com.it representing deep rolling bass and her classic influences , a veteran in the scene from the 90s.Years on Bush Radio Sublime dnb Show and her events with the BIG LOVE collective were a huge inspiration for Tempo, having paved the way for multi genre bass events with a community mindset and DIY ethic.
